This Orange Country ash scattering service takes place on the Alexandria, our beautifully-restored classic wood boat. The Alexandria is fully restored in the classic style from the 40s, with gorgeous teak decks and plenty of seating. She can accommodate up to 11 passengers for your special gathering.
The ash scattering service is one and a half hours, including cruise time to and from the ash scattering destination. This service is your special time to say farewell to your loved one with your own personal service. The captain and crew members can participate in the ceremony as much as you would like or can remain in the background. We are here for you no matter how you wish to proceed with your special service.
In true nautical tradition, the captain will ring the ship’s bell eight times after the ashes are scattered into the sea, signaling the last watch, and will make a turn around the ashes in recognition of your loved one. This is a beautiful and memorable way to bid farewell to the dear departed. You may also throw roses into the ocean to honor your loved one and experience a beautiful moment on the sea.
If you desire, you may bring your own food or beverages, or we can provide you with catering and beverage options. We can also play music of your choosing to our Bluetooth stereo.
